Question:

What is that old saying about cruising??

I am writing a speech/paper and I need the right saying for it. I have heard 2 different ones that are about cruises but which is the actual one??

*Some people think cruising is for the newly wed and nearly dead.

or

*some people think cruising is for the nearly dead and overfed.

Maybe its all of them combind i don't know. And i know its not true my speech is for cruiseing but i need to know the exact saying. Thanks!

  1. Well, the one I've heard is "newly wed and nearly dead."

    But, the nice thing about sayings is if just a few people say it, you can call it a "saying".  =)  So you could use whichever one you want.

  2. Maybe both are true because the one I've heard is overfed and nearly dead.

  3. I would use all three and pause in between each description.

    I heard a comic on board say the same line.  "Hello, this is a great crowd, and all three types of my favorite people are here tonight, the newly wed....over fed....and almost dead."

  4. Cruising is for the newly weds, nearly deads, and the over-feds.
