  1. Citius, altius, fortius is latin for Faster, higher, stronger. The motto was made in 1894. Pierre de Coubertin made the moto when the International Olympic Committee was made. Pierre borrowed the moto from his friend who was a Dominican Priest. The moto was introduced in 1924 at the Olympic Games in Paris.
