  4. Pickled ginger. It's supposed to clean your palate.

  5. That is ginger root.  It clears the palette.

  6. The "pink stuff" is ginger slices. Sushi restaurants serve it so that your mouth can be cleansed of any flavors before tasting a dish. For example, let's say you ordered two different rolls. You are supposed to eat the ginger between eating the two different rolls so the taste doesn't get mixed up.

  7. Ask me no questions and ill tell you no lies.

  8. Do you know Ginger Burns? I'm ROOTing for you, so make it SNAPpy. That's ALE for now.

  9. GINGER.  If you are even eating sushi you should know that.

  10. Okay it could be pickled ginger, but it could also be raw salmon fish...I've had sushi and it could be lots of different things, but those are the most common it could be...but all types of sushi are good ....I'm Asian so I know alot about it.

  11. Pickled ginger.  As an aside.. you can get vegetarian sushi.  Rolls made with rice and vegetables.   The green wrapping is made from seaweed.
