  1. I agree with the guy above me, its intuition, which stems from subtle details, the persons aura, their spiritual and mental status, etc.

most of the time you can trust that feeling but I wouldnt rely on it to make important decisions.

                                                               Cheers, James

  2. It's your subjective experience of the particular situation.  It has a normal (rather than paranormal) source and does not exist outside of you.

  3. I believe that it is an intuitive impression or a sensitivity to another person's aura. It comes from your mind's ability to make judgments based on perception.

  4. We are vibrational beings, we all put out a vibe and can read other peoples vibes.  It comes from God.  IT's intuition.

  5. There has been many ideas and theories on that certain something that tells you people are ok or they are not. I was raised to call it intutition. Other people call it instinct, sixth sense, logic, second sight, insight, vision, Feelings, gut feelings, messages from God, your inner self warning you, a collection of what you SEE, HEAR, Touch and deduce to form certain judgements that will keep you safe. I personally call it being intutition. I have had that many experiences that its difficult to recall them all. also its just something I accept as normal and when get those gut feelings - that certain something I move quickly. Here are a few expeirences.

    1) When I was about 12 my family were on a working camping holiday. My parents had no access to papers or the radio. we had camped at this place called Tocumwall Australia before near the might Murray river. Anyway this particular time we were there is was really freaky and beside this  all my younger brothers and sisters got really upset. The atmosphere was awful and we all left soon after to read some months later that a woman had been hit with a tyer leaver and killed and her husband had a heart attach after finding his murdered wife. They never did find the killer but the atmosphere was absolutely awful at that place.

    2) my parents were camping long before us kids were thought of and my mother heard this car driving up and down the road. Without saying anything my dad threw all their things in the car and drove off. A young couple were shot in the head a few months later in that same spot near Sheperton 40 years ago!! My father later said he had a "bad feeling" and just wanted to get away which he did.

    3) I was at a doctors surgery waiting for this specialist when I had a dread ful feeling so I left to find out later someone ahd walked in that surger a year before and shot someone!

    4) I was working a a youth service when I was introduced to a new volunteer instantly I got a dreadful feeling as soon as I shook hands with this person. Later I was later told a police check revealed that this guy was up for rape charges to minors and other violent crimes! Who knows why he wanted to volunteer at Youth Service but he was never recruited.

    5) I was getting ready to pack and go on a trip with my partner and baby when I got this awful sensation  of dont go. THis occurred when I woke up so I told my partner and we post poned the trip to the next day only to find out there was a very bad motor accident on the very highways we would be travelling on that day!!

    6) when I was 18 I had my first job at a motel as a receptionist doing night duty. as I was getting ready I had this feeling - this bad feeling where your stomache feels like its sinking and everytime I thought about work I did not want to go in so I rang up and told them I was sick. as soon as I did that I felt much better. that night a man held up the front reception area (where I would be working) with a sawn off shot gun firing shots through a window!!

THese feelings have helped me many times throughout my life and i have learned to listen to these feelings really well - like the time i went on a blind date with this guy and had a bad feeling so I walked out half way through dinner and later read that he was charged with date rape to another girl on another blind date!!

Always tune into that vibe when you are in new situations. Always!I have spoken to a lot of parents who told me that they have told their teenagers to listen to their gut feelings and its saved them on numerous occassions. I dont know what it is but some people can tune in to their feelings better than others. psiexploration makes a good point there is a fine line about what you "think" and what you sense. What you think can be totally different to what you sense - like the date rape guy - he was tall and good looking but I sensed something about him and got the h**l out. This sensing can go the other way - you can meet someone and sense they are a good person and that you may have something in common. Good luck!

Edit: I AM JAMES...not sam I disagree with you when it comes down to my safety I would listen to my intutition more than I would trust anything else. I have been caught out when my feelings have told me "don't accept, go, do etc". And I have lived to regret it when I have ignored these feelings. a lot of women are more intune with this intutition like the pregnant woman with twins - she woke up feeling "odd". Her two female collie dogs were acting "strange" Putting their heads on her stomache. moaning, whining and in general terms acting out of sorts also. So she went to the hospital and told them she was not feeling well. After an examination her twins were found to be distressed in the womb and an emergency caesare was carried out. They would of died otherwise. INTUTITION - LISTEN TO IT-TUNE IN TO IT AND READ UP ON IT.

  6. I think it's your inner self displaying emotion in a different way. Sometimes it can make you feel wonderful and other times to take caution about things in life.

  7. I wrote you a long answer about this "feeling"...and canceled it. So I'm just going to say..Don't trust this feeling if you think it means this person is your soul mate. But, if you sense this person is dangerous...don't take any chances. You never know what a person is really like..until you get to know them...then..sometimes.. by then it's too late.

Edit..Ok..I've been worried about my answer. I remember one time I thought  the person I was with was a certain person..but I wondered why I didn't feel that "certain feeling" with him.He always made me fell "safe" and "loved". He had a beard.Turns out it wasn't him. I should have paid attention to that "feeling"...esp. when it wasn't there!

  8. Its called Aura Vibration and everybody gives off vibes whether good of bad, everyone has latent psychic abilities whether they know it or not and its your intuition that picking up those aura vibes.  You know how it is when sometimes you get the feeling that there's alot of anger or hostility in the room, its the vibes that you're sensing.

  9. It depends on which vibe you are picking up. For instance a sexual vibe can be pheromones combined with other factors that you find attractive and what you believe those factors represent in a person. For instance Warren Harding ( thought by many historians to be the worst president ever) looked "presidential" (tall, dark, handsome, broad shoulders) because he had all the physical signs that people associate with success (unconsciously).

This, vibe then is your unconscious calculating many variables very quickly and throwing out information that you don't need and giving you a gut feeling. Unfortunately you have to have some expertise to trust this gut feeling about complicated issues. You for instance could not tell a good fake from a real Picasso painting in an instance but an art expert would have a first gut impression that most often will prove right.

This is talked about in a well written book I'm currently reading called "Blink" by Malcolm Gladwell.
