  1. Depends on where you are, hey remember melamine recently in imported pet foods from... you know THAT country. Seriously though, there are a lot of growth producing chemicals in every industry to force growth and you need to look up individual animals to see what is hot and what is illegal (not). When you understand just what the stuff is and does to the animal (and who eats that animal), be happy with just a quality feed product, a balanced diet. Hormones are for cheaters!

  2. Your last answer was half right. there's not much selective breading out side of dairies. They do get a little picky and try to do it with bull's but not cows.

The hormone is jut like human growth hormone. Well you know what it dose to us well just put it in cow terms!

  3. Growth Hormone, there is a cemical in the hormone that makes the animal grow at a faster rate then the other animals. Growth Hormone is no good for the animal ans for us humans beacuse we then eat the animal and we intake the hormone.

  4. Growth Hormone.  There are instances when growth horemone is used, but the main way they are made larger is though selective breeding only the biggest and heathiest of animals are selected for breading while all the others are sent to slaughter.   In several generations animals in the herd or school become larger and larger.
