  1. its called sky writing

  2. If it's done with a single nozzle, it's called skywriting.  If it's done with a row of nozzles across the wing like a dot-matrix printer, it's called skytyping.

Skytyping is much clearer and easier to read, and also much easier to do.

Both forms are part of a dwindling business, and when you check the prices, you will see why.  Ordinary skywriting in the USA starts at around $2,000 for ten or twelve characters, and $185 per character for additional characters.

So it ain't cheap, and it's a very risky way of getting a message across.  Lots of people never look up, so it's easy to waste your money.

  3. it's called sky writing.

i have no idea about the cost, but it is made by injecting diesel (plain or coloured with dye) into the exhaust.

display planes like the red arrows use the same method. they leave the smoke trails for safety, to show the positions of the other planes in the group

  4. It's called 'Skywriting', and I'm thinkin' that depending on the area, it would easily be several hundred dollars an hour, especially now with the insane price of fuel!

  5. sky writing.

My flight instructor used to do this when not instructing.   Sorry I don't know how much it cost.

If you plan to propose, it is not a good idea.  It cannot be done in windy day, and it gets blown away quite easily - and difficult to read on moderately windy day.

    good Luck...
