its called End swell. Basically, its just an ice cold piece of metal(if you remember or know physics, metal is a super conductor of heat, cold, electricity, etc.) that helps take down any swelling.  and yes, that was a type of superglue that is used for cuts.

I think you are talking about Petroleum jelly, it heals the cut skin faster, but not fast enough

End swell a frozen drink can also works ice in a can anything to help reduce swelling.On a cut it is a mixture of some sort of chemical to stop bleeding and vasoline.

It is a steel compress that is kept in ice used to reduce swelling. They do use Dermabond is boxing now, it is like super glue and then they put Vaseline all over the face pretyy much so the gloves slide off and don't rip the skin.
