I think what you meant to say is spectator sport, right? I know that NASCAR is #1 hands down in spectator sports, I believe football is #2, and baseball is #3. As far as total popularity, I think football is #1, either baseball or basketball is #2, and NASCAR is #3.

I don't know that NASCAR is #1 I actually think NFL is #1 but NASCAR is #2.  I love NASCAR don't get me wrong but I love football too.

if you are talking about tv viewers nascar is #2, football is #1. overall i once heard that horse racing was actually #1. in attendance, makes sense to me because horse races are run almost every day of the year, and in many different locations. don't know if it is true, but something to think about because their fans, gamblers, are really loyal.
