It depends on what you mean by fastest. There are fast cars acceleration-wise and cars that go for top speed. I believe the fastest two cars in terms of top speed are the SSC Ultimate Aero (256 mph) and the Bugatti Veyron (252? mph)

As said it a difficult answer due to the factor that i have seen tuned skylines and supras running and veryron acceleration etc.

And before the Veryron gets picked as fastest car it isn't anymore,it was but like anything it has been beat.
