What is the ''best'' place you have ever been felt the most happy and content and why?

On a fishing trip as a kid in Yellowstone park; folks still zoned out in tent, as I sat on a stump, watching the sunrise over the lake.

No chores, vacation time, no expectations. Jaybirds as tricksters.

It was two Saturdays ago when I went to the (Oregon) coast with my friends. The day was so perfect. The weather was good, I got to fly my kites, eat the best fish I've ever had at a great Irish pub, get some yummy taffy, and wander around shops without a care in the world.

It was the day after the most stressful term of my college career was over and I had gotten ten hours of restful sleep the night before. I was sore from walking so much at the end of the day. I drove back into the (Willamette) valley with the sunrise at my back, listening to some great music with everyone else in the car asleep.

I had a good one the other day.  I don't know if it was the best ever but it was pretty d**n good.  I was with my girlfriend, just sitting around the house, and I'd been with her for a while, but not in a super committed way.  But in that moment  I really saw what a beautiful and good woman she was, and realized how lucky I was to have her.  I fell in love with her, I guess.  I'd thought I had before, but this was different and made me a very happy guy.  The world has seemed a brighter and more hopeful place then.

Probably get thrown out of the guy club for posting that, but it's a cool feeling.

In the presence of God.  There's nothing in the world like it when you feel God's presence and love and peace in such a strong, almost tangible way.  Nothing like it.  When i was  younger, i used to go to a camp meeting (upc) for about a week.  As we would worship God, whether in song, dance, lifting our hands- His presence would fill the room and bring us to smiles, tears, or even laughing.  I love to think about those days.  Sometimes, i would walk outside at the campground, in the freshness and beauty of the early morning, and just enjoy feeling Him with me.  Or walking outside after worshiping God with the other children in church camp, and looking up at the stars still feeling His presence-- in such awe that this awesome God, the Creator of the universe loves ME (like who, am i?).  Camp days have become a memory of the past, but still my favorite place is His presence.  Not only in church,  but just to one of Our special places (like my closet!) and just be there-- with Him, feeling this warm sense (blanket) of HIS love surrounding me  (no matter how i felt before).  OH, there is nothing in the world like being in the presence of the Lord... it's the very place we've ALL been looking for all of our lives.....
