What is the ART OF ERIC CARL?

My nephew is doing the above topic in his daycare. Anyone knows what it mean? i know that Eric Carl is a children's author but what abt the ART OF ERIC CARL? Is it some kind of art project?

Visit Eric Carle's website and I believe there is actually a video clip of him creating one of his illustrations. He makes them with tissue paper collages. This site is very interesting and has a lot of history about the illustrator / author and other useful information about his books.

Eric Carl illustrates all of his own children books using pictures made from paper, like paper collages.They are so unique, like nothing I have ever seen.  He is amazing.  There is a video that shows how he creates his illustrations that you might be able to find at the library.  Unfortunately I don't know the name of the video.  I can't believe they are having a child do this in daycare though!  See if you can find the video.  You'll be amazed!
