yes it is 42, and if you have to call it a cliche, you dont really know what it means.

Hello:

The answer per The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is 42.  It is a play on Einstein's famous quote that God does not play dice with the universe...there are 42 dots on a pair of dice.
