  6. GAYFL when you tackle they instruct you to hug the other player.

  7. It's not rugby, it's a form of football played on a cricket oval. The whole idea was to make use of cricket ovals in the off-season.

  8. It's a game that is mainly played here in Australia (but also on a small scale in other areas around the world)

    if you have seen Gaelic football in Ireland....Aussie Rules is similar, however it is rougher, uses and oval ball and oval and a different method of scoring. you have to kick the ball through the two tall posts to get a 'goal' which is worth 6 points for your team, but if it touches a hand, or anywhere above the knee then it is a 'point' being one point for your team. if the ball should go between a tall post and one of the smaller posts, it is also one point whether it touches a hand or off the foot.

    Tackling, bumping, the handball and marking are a big part of the game

    Tackling, when someone has the ball you grab onto them and if they are deemed to have had a chance to get rid of the ball and it was a legal tackle, then you get a free kick.

    bumping is when you run into someone basically, it can be done when competing for the ball on the ground, or when protecting a teammate with the ball. Marking is when the ball has been kicked, and is caught without it hitting the ground and so they get a chance to have a free kick of the ball.

    hand balling is the mode of passing the ball around without having to kick it. u must hold the ball and punch it out of our hand with your other hand.

    Truly it is a good game when the umpires are not trying to take over too much

  9. It's Australia's main sport and it's NOT related to Rugby beecause the rules are different from Rugby. A goal is 6 points which is kicking the ball in between the 2 middle poles. A behind is 1 point and it's between the last pole and second last pole and the first pole and the second pole.

    The poles look like this

  10. From what I gather after watching a few of their games;

    Australian Football Rules:  There is only one rule:

        Rule # 1.  There are no rules.

  11. Australian rules football is a man's game
