The version where it's simply "Ave Maria" all the way through?

I only have the Bach and Schubert arrangements of the full Ave Maria (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aQVz6vuNq7s&feature=related).... and I like the one above. Please help!

  1. Holly Mary

  2. It's the version attributed to Giulio Caccini, an Italian baroque composer.

However, a few have expressed doubt, and I join them: it doesn't sound like Caccini, or even too baroque. I have read that it was, in fact, written by Vladimir Vavilov who produced a few musical hoaxes, and this might be one.

Anyway, it's mostly known under Caccinis name, and all recordings (apart from Vavilov's himself) will have it under that name, the same with sheet music. So if you intend to buy anything related to it, go with Caccini.
