If you do not have any of those things middle of the road average income until you have a system and book of business in place.

That depends on the person and what kind of business system he/she has. Is he working in a company that only pays commissions (strictly sales)? Or is he in a company that pays commissions and overrides (network marketing)?

When I started in this career, I got all my licenses right away. I didn't make much money at the beginning. But as I gained more experience and help more families, my income grew every year. Right now, I make about $200k/year and it still growing because I have people who do the same I do and I earn commissions off their efforts. About 40% of that income is from my own personal activity. As you can you see, I'm in a network marketing company. There's people in the company that makes 7 figures (about 80 of them) and there's about 2400 people who make 6 figures.

So its hard to say what the average pay is. It all depends on the company you work in.

I'll try to help. I started in the business in 1980 after graduating from college.  As a Financial Planner, obviously, these licenses were a prerequisite.

I was always a hard worker, driven, personable with a great sense of humor. So for me, the six-figure barrier was broken very quickly.

However, most people fail in the business for a variety of reasons.

If you are dedicated, honest, slightly aggressive without being pushy, then 250K is possible within 8-12 years.

But training is important and you must make sure your earlier years are filled with sound advice and plenty of mentoring.
