  1. The 18 is almost out of the question.

Do you want the full size frame, mid size or compact?

    What caliber would you like.

If you want a mid size 9mm then the model 19 is the best for you.

The 22C seems to fit all of my requirements and is very good for me.

  2. The "best" model is somewhat subjective, but if we're talking about most sold then it is the 17 (9mm).

I have a couple, and one that I shoot very regularly.  Over 10,000 rds thru mine without a failure to feed, or any problems.

  3. I used to own a G21, full sized .45 acp, that stovepiped a LOT, than pistol kinda burnt me on Glocks, until I got a really good deal on a G23, medium sized .40S&W, I REALLY like this one, it fits my hand like a glove, good capacity(13+1) stock mags, I am a little unempressed with the caliber though, wish I would've got the G19 instead, same gun except its a 9mm, and you get even better mag capacity(15+1), the only difference I notice between .40 and 9mm is when I buy ammo for it, I can get Winchester white box 100 rd. economy packs at walmart for $19 for 9mm or $27 for .40, but I still really like the gun even though I really believe the .40 is WAY overhyped, I just wish they would come out with a .45 acp model built on the same frame as the G19/G23, I would LOVE for the chance to put a couple of mags through a G18 though, man, that would be fun.

  4. I've heard that the only handgun you'll ever need is the Glock 19.

  5. If I had to pick I would go with 17 only because the others guns bite the back of my hand when I shoot. The 17 still comes too close for comfort. And I also like 9mm.

If you have not had a chance to look around at a gun shop you may want to. Pick up as many makes and models of handguns as you can. You may find something you like better.

    Good luck and Safe shooting.

  6. Glock 23

  7. The one that fits your hand the best and you can shoot most accurately. Go to the range and rent a few and try them on for size.

  8. I am a big Glock fan,I have a Glock 30.

  9. All Glocks are essentially the same.  What is best is an individual choice concerning hand-fit, caliber etc.  Fortunately with the Glock you get the most choices.  The Glock comes chambered in more diverse calibers than any other modern semi-automatic handgun.  Most Glocks are available in three frame sizes (full size, compact and subcompact) and even the new 'short-frame' to accommodate shooters with smaller hands who still want a full size .45 acp.

Most people find the Model 19 9mm to be ideal.  It fits right, is fairly compact, extremely user-friendly, accurate, extremely reliable, high capacity and chambered in a popular caliber.  It is also rated for +P and even +P+ ammo, so you have a viable defensive handgun.  Others like one of the subcompact .45 acps better.  I like the Model 20 10mm best, but some people think this one is just too powerful, so you see, every one has his own likes and dislikes.  By the way, the Glock Model 18 is not available to the general public, at least not in the USA.
