  1. It depends on what type of car you want. I would say a TSX engine would be a good way to go I just like torque though. The common is the K20a from the RSX type s. It revs high and responds well to upgrades. you will have options like K-pro and various turbos and superchargers but also keep in mind that all that is very expensive.

The most simple and cheap would be a turbo and a tune with a good exhaust. you have one for about 3-4k way cheaper than a swap witch would cost that much for just the engine and ecu alone.

  2. A turbo. Or maybe an H22A [also with a turbo]. Nitrous

  3. K-series engines are the best upgrade.  Over in Japan and Europe, the '01-'05 Type R Civics came with a K-series engine stock.  As well as our USDM & CDM Si's as well, though that engine isn't as powerful.  So your best bet is to either look for an RSX Type S engine or get a JDM K20A.

  4. 350 chevy small block, been done in lots of old/new cars/trucks etc., 1932 Fords for example, very simple to install and lots of aftermarket parts. throw a narrowed 9 inch Ford Posi rear end with some 12 inch wide tires, and that Honda should fly!

  5. for that year civic your best bet is a jdm k20a typr r.
