What is the Best Budget Bike?

Hi there everyone...I have $1000 to buy a mountain bike. I do alot of offroad single track, little jumps, drop offs 3ft. ish and some around town riding. i was hoping for a full suspension but if anyone has a reason why a hardtail would be better im up for it. please guys answer i need to know.

$1000 is my max absolutly only $100 over
