What is the Best (Cheapest) mobile sim card that can be used from Afghanistan to the UK.?

THIS IS A SERIOUS QUESTION: - I need to find an international sim card that can be used to make & receive calls/texts from Afghanistan to the UK & for these calls/texts to be as cheap as possible. I would like to find a sim card that is easy to use & to top up as it will need to be used for approx 4 months.

All/Any help would be really appreciated. Thank you.

we have the same problem.  I am in Iraq, we have SIMS cards in the Iraqi shops that work fine-you just buy a card with minutes on it.  We dont pay much, but if u look in the right place in the UK it should be cheap--i think

My brother is stationed there at the moment and there isn't one.  Alternately he sends e-blueys or when he can get to a terminal has a voip handset he plugs into the internet.

Hope these sites help I have searched a few places but I just wanted to warn you to be very aware of certain sim cards as some of them charge a £9.99 monthly connection fee on top of your top ups
