  1. well i think that royal caribbean is a great cruise line its a bit more up scale no drunks on the deck  cruise goes smooth and very attentive and your just treated well .

  2. Carnival is known as an "entry level" cruise, meaning that it's usually the cruise line that most people try first - because it's the least expensive.  I took my whole family on the Carnival Inspiration last year, and had a very nice experience - the food was good (not great), the buffet was crowded at times, the kids were kept busy all day, the adults enjoyed the pool and ship-board activities.  The shows were the best we've seen on any cruise, and Carnival has the largest cabins of any cruise line - standard cabins are 185 sq. ft. vs. 150 - 160 sq. ft. on other lines.  Carnival did deliver what it promised and we all enjoyed the cruise.

To move up a notch, try Norwegian Cruise Lines.  I've been on several of their ships.  They originated the "Freestyle Dining" concept.  They offer you 4-8 different restaurants, (depending on the size of the particular ship), where you can eat when you want, with whom you want, and dress as casually as you like.  There are no formal nights on NCL.

The next category higher is "Premium Cruise Lines". Celebrity is the number one rated Premium cruise line, beating Royal Caribbean, Princess, and Holland American. Seven of its ships have been voted as the "Top Ten" of all large cruise ships by Conde Nast. They also earned the top spot in the "Food" category.

Obviously its our favorite, and we're looking forward to sailing next month on the Celebrity Constellation. We already have booked a cruise for February 2008 for South America on the new Celebrity Journey. We go on 2 -3 cruises a year, and have been on all the major cruise lines - nothing comes close to "the Celebrity treatment".

Remember, there's a big difference between Price and Value. Price is what you pay for something, Value is what you receive for what you've paid.

Try Celebrity, you'll see what I mean!

  3. Cunard - owners of the queens, etc.  Cruising at its best.  ;)  H

  4. I went on carnival too and you know there are differnet types of cruises: fun ones , exploration ones etc... . What do you mean by better? I know that Easy cruise are suppose to be good value for money, but they are no frills I amafraid
