I was looking into the Sony Bravia KDL46V4100 and I really like them, I read a lot of good reviews about them, But then again the KDL46W4100 has 120 refresh rate instead of the 60. the V and W series are similar in almost every way it seems but the W has the higher refresh rate to reduce judder. Do you think this feature justifies for an extra 200-300 dollars? I really hate judder..

  1. Why go for the expensive LCD HDTV? Just like the old times, before LCD, we'd those CRT fat TV. It was good as it can be repaired if spoil. But, LCD can't be repair once its spoil, that means that in the long run, let says your LCD have been running for 3 years, and suddenly, POP! You have to buy a new LCD. If you buy a more expensive LCD, it isn't going to worth your money in the long run. So I suggest you to take a average LCD. At least it last and it is cheap! Try sales. In Singapore, we have a sales on 'old' things when the new comes. It is cheap and I think the best way to value your money is to wait for some sales.

  2. The Sony KDL-46V4100 does support the 24p cinema mode when connected to a Blue Ray player with an HDMI cable. This 24p cinema mode does eliminate judder without the expense of a 120 Hz machine and without the artifacts produced when a 120 Hz processor is overwhelmed. Save the 200-300 dollars and buy the V4100. You can use your savings to buy the Blue Ray player and enjoy judder free movies.

  3. SONY is the best.

  4. if you want a very nice tv go for a Baumann Meyer, they are a lovely tv. they look fantastic.
