What is the Best Student Starter Car?

If your just getting your "N" only got a max of about $3000 to spend what would be the best most fuel efficient reliable car to buy.....right now im running through my head Honda Civic CX and Honda Prelude

any other ideas?

  1. Chevrolet Prizm, has a Toyota (Corolla) engine and build quality right there with the Hondas; fuel mileage is about the same, too.

    Easy to park, have it fixed at any Chevy or Toyota store, insurance is cheap, too.

    Preludes and Civics tend to be higher-priced and not always that nice as a used car.


  2. Honda's are the best choice.

  3. For $3,000 a 1996-1999 Civic or Corolla would be the most reliable and fuel efficient.  

  4. go with any mid 2000's Honda Civic, Toyota Corolla, Hyundai Elantra. All 3 are nice and reliable
