  1. 68 degrees farenheit.

Cool enough to avoid disease, but not so cold that your goldfish won't swim.

In my experience, anything over 70 causes goldish to lose all of their energy and become disease ridden.

  2. gold fish are very hardy fish, so they can tolerate alot. BUT, they like their water a bit on the colder side. i had mine around 66-68 degrees. sounds crazy but they are carp and they like it chilly!!

if you have other fish though, i would go with their temp to be on the safe side bc like i said, goldfish are very hardy

  3. Room temperature or a little bit colder.

  4. 75

  5. Warmer is better. Fish diseases thrive in cold water. Goldfish don't require warm water, but it is healthier for them. Goldfish are cold water fish because they can _tolerate_ cold water, but it isn't ideal for them.

I would keep it between 75 and 82 degrees. Goldfish can tolerate constant water temperatures up to 90 degrees. Higher than that is bad for them though.

Be aware that warm water holds less oxygen, so the higher the temperature, the more water volume you need to give them. The standard formula of 2 gallons per inch of fish (not including fins) is assuming coldish (60s or lower) water. If it is warmer than that you need to give the fish more space.
