What is the Best Way To Advertise Myself as a Writer of Blogs and Websites?

I know there are many technically savvy people who have no problem creating a beautifully designed website, however they lack the skills to filll the content. The same with bloggers. I have the opposite problem. I'm an excellent writer but without the technical abilities. I don't have any experience with HTML, feeds, etc. I can write about the humanities, social sciences, health, nutrition and animal care. Where can I offer my writing services and get paid by the word or the article?

I agree that Ezine Articles is a place to get noticed. You will not be paid for any articles you post there.

Questions to consider: Will you have a website that shows your writing talents in those various genres? How will people contract with you? Pay you?

You should also know that earlier this week I paid a writer $20 for 40 articles that averaged 600 words per.

As a webmaster I want to see how you approach article writing for the Internet. I want to know if you understand keyword prominence? I want to know if your writing provides value to my site visitors and matches my site theme.

If you're just getting started, consider using other successful web copy writers as a model.  Scriptus is a well-known company in NYC, I like their website very much.

Also, you're going to need a long list of case studies and testimonials... the sooner you get started, the better!

Have you considered offering your services inside the free lance sites where you can advertise your services and show examples.

In addition to this you should be hanging out your shingle or better yet a website.  This gives you a broader net in finding potential customer's.

What ever you do make sure your website has a means in collecting names and email addresses so you can send them offers at a later time.

This is the biggest mistake people make when setting up a website.  The saying goes the money is in the list and its so true if you want to make money selling your service.
