My Grandpa has mentioned how much he likes this ballet that is on at Christmas every year, so I was going to get him a copy on DVD. Does anyone know who the performers are or what it is called?

Thanks

It is a story about a young girl who dreams of rats and then is whisked away to a candy land.

  3. The Nutcracker?

  4. well most of the time when people say Christmas ballet they mean the Nutcracker and there are 1'00'000'000's of people that have been in the Nutcracker so there aren't just one set of dancers and you might be able to find it at http://www.discountdancesuppy.com/ maybe they have some DVDs so good luck finding it hey wish me luck too because I have ballet in 2 days and I'll need all the luck I can get =^..^=

  5. It is most likely called 'The Nutcracker.'   Lots and lots of companies do this ballet around Christmas time.  It is a classic.

  6. I assume he means "The Nutcracker."

  7. Amy,

I think the Christmas ballet that's most famous is the Nutcracker, like the other answerers said.  It's probably the most celebrated and well-known ballets of all time, and every year thousands of companies perform it.

Probably the most well-known companies that perform the Nutcracker are New York City Ballet and ABT.  Since you are looking for a DVD, I would get the one by NYC Ballet.  I seem to enjoy their performances more than ABT's in this particular aspect, for some reason.

    Hope that helped!♥

(P.S. -- another great gift would be tickets to the show!  You can get them at their website!)
