What is the (DIFFERENCE) between a family doctor and one who specializes in (INTERNAL MEDICENE)

I must know I have various issues going on and need to know the difference. What methods do internal doctors use verses a (regular) family Physician? Thanks!

  1. Same methods, internal medicine usually deals with adults, and family docs will treat the entire family.  Family medicine is a more broad less detailed specialty, some who want to treat entire families will get board certified in pediatrics and internal medicine, (often referred to as Med/Peds)  They get the best of both worlds.
