What is the Definition, or describe: Firing Step?

The firing step is when the trigger is depressed and the bullet is fired.  Is that what you meant?

Or perhaps you meant this: The firing step is the last step on your career ladder.  This is the point when your boss says to you: "you're fired.  Pack your things and leave."
