  1. Dems are whatever the popular opinion polls show for the day & that will improve their chances of winning elections while the repubs are also about winning the eleection but tend to also want to win even if that's not at the moment practical or popular. Obama is saying he wants to pull troops out because thats popular yet then turns around & tells people he's not sure exactly when that can happen because he knows some especially republicans see how bad that idea really is. Bill Clinton was president during somalia & pulled our troops out after 18 US service men were ambushed but its been reported and a fair amount of evidence shows that by doing that which at time was popular because of the tv footage of dead US troops being abused, actually helped encourage bin Laudin to pursue future attacks on the US. Also Bill Clinton by retaliating weakly when Bin laudin did attack us down the line also helped to encourage him to continue and if you look at the countries since 2001 who have been attacked all those countries have been weak on security or not ex[pecting attacks and thus like we were before the 2001 attacks caught with our pants down yet since thing there havent been attacks even in those countries like Spain or Bali that were attacked because after they were attacked they turned to getting help and fighting terrorism not that there really is a sure way to do that. After all terrorists are already one step ahead when your caught offguard. Democrats are for ending the war because it's popular.

After we got Saddam how quickly they were back supporting the war & you didnt hear much from the protestors like sheehan and color pink or whatever annoying name they are. But then something goes wrong their back to taking about pulling out and pointing fingers. It doesn't to anyone any good after the fact and that is the truth no matter your own opinions or party loyalties. It doesnt do anyone any good bring in the hens and chickens after several have already been killed by the fox. If you suspect a fox is around you should bring them in then not after. The UN was weak & Saddam called their bluff for 12 years the potential help to terrorists was understandible though it was bad timing & planning that lead to the s***w up we are in now. We should have finished afganistan first but we didnt and turned all our focus to Iraq and that allowed bin laudin and his people to regroup as well as a place to train not to mention more PR to turn to their propaganda. Terrorists are bad and hide among civilian areas yet we try to avoid that but accidents happen. Look at Russia they are killing and bombing civilian targets in Georgia were as we at least try to focus on military but again in Georgia its more clear military targets then in Iraq or Afganistan where the bad guys dress as civilians & shoot from churches and hospitals or use bombs which is why its that much more frustrating. We expect everything over night now but life doesnt work that way whether its the economy or a war. Even 3 years ago it could take months for even a qualified person to find a new job let alone when companies put on hiring freeses and that's what people need to improve the economy is a steady job not a one time check that might help this month but what about next.
