Right now I'm in the process of completing an AP Government assignment, I thought maybe someone could shine some light on the question I have come to ask myself, and my friends here at local government. What is the real difference between Delegated Powers, and Enumerated Powers. And if you dare, how about a comparison with Implied Powers? xD What do you guys think?

  1. Enumerated powers are those specifically and explicitly given to a branch of government in the constitution. For instance, one of Congress' many enumerated powers is to raise and maintain an army and navy. Delegated powers are the same thing. They are those powers delegated to Congress by the Constitution. Implied powers are powers not explicitly delegated or enumerated, but that a reasonable person would think are implied by other powers, such as powers that would be required to carry out certain delegated powers.
