    Question 1:

    The difference between a food web and food chain is that a food chain is linear (up and down... the acorn is eaten by a squirrel, the squirrel is eaten by a hawk, the hawk is eaten by a mountain lion, etc.) while the food web is spread out (up and down and sideways... the acorn is eaten by a squirrel, the squirrel is eaten by a hawk and a coyote and a mountain lion).
