Erosion of coastlines over time, warm currents could bring certain storms; surface currents are either warmer (less dense), or less salty(saline). All water movement effects coastlines. The movement is caused by wind, rotation of the Earth, and the Moon. It has been said that without the Moon's tidal pull, the oceans wouldn't have been agitated enough to allow life to form!
