As I understand it, the basics of the game are that a letter and category are designated (say "A" and "Countries") and then each player has to name as many items starting with that letter in the category. The number of points each person receives per word is 10 divided by the number of people who have that word.

  1. It sounds similar to Scattergories but not quite the same.

    In Scattergories, a letter is chosen and you have 12 different topics in which you must name one word that begins with that letter. During review, you get points for the word if it matches the topic and no one else wrote the same word.

    If you're just looking for a translation, I have no idea - and there is a Languages section...

  2. Stadt Land-Grippe?

    i think so i tried it in yahoo plug-insand thats what it says..

  3. Stadt = Town

    Fluss = River

    Land = Country(land) [I think]

  4. Scattergories is a good match to this game, as Whitesox mentioned.

    There's a more "action oriented" version of the game by Amigo Spiele, called "Schnap, Land, Fluss!"

    The closest match I can find would be "Wiz Kidz" from Discovery Toys.  Like "Stadt, Land, Fluss" there is a category and a starting letter, in the case of "Wiz Kidz", both drawn randomly from separate decks.  The letter cards each have a point value assigned to them, and for every correct answer, you score equivalent points.
