  1. Well from what I read, this sounds completely wrong because it states that the following are exempt.

    1.  A school bus.

    2.  A bus used for the transportation of persons for compensation.

    3.  A farm tractor or implement of husbandry.

    4.  A truck of a net weight of more than 5,000 pounds.

    5.  A motorcycle, moped, or bicycle.

  2. Very interesting. AFAIK, Florida's seatbelt law exempts school buses and charter buses, based on Florida Police Chief's website and the Florida state legislature's website:

    http://www.fpca.com/seatbelt.htm

    http://www.leg.state.fl.us/Statutes/inde...

Of course, assuming it's ON a properly marked school bus and all that, and there are no local or county ordinances specify otherwise. Which agency issued this citation? Based on what part of the law? They're supposed to write the law section on the ticket, AFAIK.

Sounds like the ticket was issued illegally and should be dismissed with prejudice.
