  1. the genome of an organism is its whole hereditary information and is encoded in the DNA.

  2. Genome is basically DNA found within chromosomes. The genome or DNA is made up of different macromolecules called nucleotides (Adenine, Thymine, Cytosine, Guanine). When the nucleotides are read in a certain sequence by messenger RNA, they help create different proteins which is made by ribosomes. That certain sequence of nucleotides is called a gene and the difference in the genes is what make you different from everyone else.

  3. Life is specified by genomes. Every organism, including humans, has a genome that contains all of the biological information needed to build and maintain a living example of that organism. The biological information contained in a genome is encoded in its deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) and is divided into discrete units called genes. Genes code for proteins that attach to the genome at the appropriate positions and switch on a series of reactions called gene expression.

  4. The Genome (not G-nome) of an organism is its whole hereditary information and is encoded in the DNA (or, for some viruses, RNA).
