What is the Generic name for this chemical?

What is the chemical name for the strong disinfectant that is also used in the funeral business?

I hear it called EMBALMING FLUID.

%I plan to use this chemical to clean the horse brush I use on my horses. - I want to avoid using any "custom designed" chemicals and use the real thing.

Organic is much better, as I am told.

Embalming fluid: formaldehyde or formalin, also known as methanal (IUPAC name).

It contains formaldehyde which is bad for you and your horse.  I'm thinking ha methyl (AKA wood) alcohol would disinfect and clean the brush as well.
