What is the Home Schooling Law in Florida regarding having someone who is not the Parent home school a child?

  1. Florida law requires that the parent "direct" the child's home education program.  What this means isn't defined in the law.  Some people will send their child to someone else who will do the actual teaching according to a plan that the parent agreed on.  Some will have a third party teach their child and the parent will step in and ask for changes if the parent doesn't like the way it's going.  Either one could count as the parent directing things.

    P.S.  You can find all of the Florida laws online.  The state runs a website that lists them and they are fairly readable (not as full of legal mumbo-jumbo as I feared).  You can go and read them for yourself--which is always the best policy, in my opinion.
