  1. im running a 16 foot Norris craft boat with a 135 evinrude on it with no problems and never did any transom work to it either, you can safely run a v-4 engine on it,mines been on  my boat since it was new back in 77,good luck  PS there's a sticker on your boat that tells what that boat will handle,go by it also.

  2. You should be good up to about a hundred horses. Look around your boat and there should be a sticker or plate that states the max size outboard that can be safely run on your boat. It is sometimes located in the "glove"compartment, on the dash or attached to the inside hull someplace. I had an Orlando clipper tri-hull that was 16 feet and I ran a 100 horse Johnson V-4, "behemoth", and I never had a problem. Nothin' like those horses. Heh Heh!
