  1. I am told that humans began as 'spiritual beings having a human experience' but have now ended up as 'human beings having a spiritual experience'. If that is true then I would say that the human condition today is deplorable. In the pursuit of happiness through sense gratification we have lost our true identity. We have got ourselves so badly entangled in material nature that we find ourselves trapped and burdened with so many attachments. That is why we are all suffering. There is no real peace on this earth. I believe that we should emulate the lotus, so beautiful and so fragrant, growing in the mud and yet always with its head held above the water. So while living and having our being in the material world we must always stay aloof and not get trapped. We must always remember that while the material world is impermanent, forever changing and unsatisfactory, we are in essence immortal. A lot of mental conditioning is required.

    3. The spiritual and conscious man, intelligent, and loving able to live in harmony with his world.
