What is the IPX protocol on the pc?? and how to install it??

IPX is the native protocol for Netware operating system, usually you don't need it for normal networking, you may need it only if you will connect to a Netware server or for some older games, that used to use this protocol over the LAN.

it is never used over the internet.

here is how to install,

1- right click on your network connection

2-click on properties

3- under general tab , click install

4-choose protocol

5- click on add, and choose NWlink IPX/SPX ....

6- click OK, OK,  and you are done

Do NOT install it. This is a protocol used to connect directly to Netware servers. It is no use whatsoever for anything else and it slows the machine and cause problems with the way it logs in.
