  1. I ride rossignol scratch sprayers that are 168 and i am 5'8 or 5'9

I LOVE THEM the size is perfect.

HOWEVER: you really should be more concerned with how much you weigh.  height is not nearly as important.  to give you an idea, i use 168 cm skis and i weigh 150 lbs.

a fluctuation of 5 cm or so wil not make any noticable difference, nor will 10 or so lbs.  what this means is that your 167 skis will be the same as my 168's, and as long as you are between 140lbs and 160, you should be golden.

    (GHTO's are sick)

after reading the above response, i remembered to mention that the GHTOS are a park-specific ski.  therefor, different sizes should be taken into consideration that those of race skis.   since you are obvously park oriented, because you have selected an almost exclusively park ski, you will want a ski shorter than a race ski, but not too short.

short enough to be quick and agile in the park, as well as manuverable on jumps rails and other tricks.

but not excessively short to the point where you lose stablity and your skiing form and fundamentals suffer

  2. If it is just for free skiing (just having fun, skiing around the mountain) it is ideal for the ski to touch your nose when they are standing upright.

Basically if you are ordering of the net you want to be about 173cm (ish)

But if your a good skiier you can be shorter.

  3. Length of skis have nothing to do with height really. It depends on the type of skiing your going to be doing. For me i'm 5'5" a 167 would be pretty close to a GS ski for me (ski racer) i race on 176 but thats for going fast if you like to make quicker turns go on a quicker shorter ski like my slalom skis are 156 they are made for making quick turns. So really it just depends on the type of skiing your going to do. If your about average height say,5'9" i think a 167 would be a ideal length for you.
