  1. What is the Taslimas visa?  I remember a poem my friend wrote a long time ago.  Goes like this:

    Calcutta riots have broken out

All the people jump and shout

Lathis and dundas on the head

    'Till somebody falls down dead

Good, or what!  His name was Ashley Wills and he still lives in India.

  2. i don't know about taslima visa.

but i want Indian govt to award Mr.MF Hussian for painting a fantastic and wonderful nude Hindu god etc.

  3. She could not have said anything bitter than Tamilnadu politicians(even the CM) say about Hinduism.

Let them meet her words with words.

  4. I don't know if you would accept my answer as convincing considering that I am a Hindu from West Bengal.

I witnessed the violence on TV and observed that the majority of the perpetrators were very young Muslims and a sizeable number of them were teenagers. Considering the frustration that this section of the population from nearly every community goes through for many different reasons, primarily on account of the extreme difficulty of finding a decent source of income, it is very easy for wily politicians to divert that into mass destruction. One Mr. Idris Ali, a Congress politician and the leader of an obscurant group named "All India Minority Forum" led the rampage. Muslims from Kolkata may be justifiably aggrieved over Taslima's works, which on several occasions are sharply critical of Islam. But that doesn't mean they want to resort to a violent reply. Though many Muslims are involved in anti national activities and terrorism, I trust that they are not so wrecklessly irresponsible or insane. Their grievances were given a violent vent by unscrupulous politicians. Muslims don't lead a high standard of living in general. There must be more urgent problems than Taslima and her eviction from India in their minds like food, clothing and medicines.

  5. Pathetic and typical! My question is why pick on Taslima and ask her to go (wherever that is?) when bucketload of Bangladeshis sneak into India and wreak destruction on innocent victims. Taslima is a writer, a very intelligent woman and most rewardingly, a Muslim woman who had the guts to 'tell it like it is'.
