  1. It's actually a very good country to live in. Sustainability while still having a high birth rate... and a high per capita...

And it can't do anything about something that occurs naturally.

  2. Not much. Ireland was allowed to increase emissions as it was considered to need further development. However these emissions were limited and have been far exceeded. The plastic bag tax is helpful but instead of investing in public transport they are investing in new roads which encourages the car-orientated lifestlye.

  3. Well, Ireland is part of the EU, so they will be following many of the same policies. Ireland is starting to use more wind power.  Ireland has pretty much gotten rid of plastic shopping bags. A quick google news search shows that they are cracking down on illegal dumping, too.

Ireland is plenty big enough to help fight global warming. And global warming is reversible (mainly because it hasn't really started properly yet).

If you are interested in learning more about stopping global warming, you might want to read Plan B 3.0, available for free on-line. A very good book. It doesn't say much about Ireland, though.

  4. Ireland doesn't have to do anything as it's such a small country

  5. FOLLOW THE MONEY TRAIL

Al Gore has a house that consumes more energy than a neighborhood.

He justifies it by buying carbon credits from himself.

Environmentalism is a religion and like all religions fear creates a flow of money.

Environmentalists tell us that humans are a cancer on the Earth and the earth must rid itself of it

What if the Earth is now at the end of the warming cycle and headed for cooler times?

    'Coldest winter in 100 years'

China battles the freezing weather that has stranded millions

  6. Don't have to do much, not much industrialisation, far fewer cars than England, etc.

  7. I heard they have provided a rebate on fans and air conditioners and have instructed the people to try to leave their fridge doors open a fraction.

  8. You cannot prevent global warming no matter what size country you happen to live in. It is a completely natural phenomenon. Why are so many many people so easily led?
