What is the Japanese for 'frog'?

yet kawazu is toad in japanese, i need the japanese equivalent for frog.

  1. In Japanese they say "kaeru" (KAH EH ROO) for frog (this can also mean "to change" or "to go home", though).  Toad is "gama", and tree frog is "amagaeru", which is made up of the symbols for "rain" and "frog"
