  1. The KBIT is considered a screening test in my school system.  We use it to help see if we need to do a full "IQ" test on children being considered for special ed.  The test gives some approximate ranges for verbal and non verbal intelligence.  I don't beleive that the KBIT or any other IQ test is really appropriate for a kindergartener.  Rather than using a norm referenced test on childrne that yound we use things like the DIAL.  Hope this helps.
