if you managed to stay awake to remember it, what is the one race where, even as a nascar fan, you watched the finish and said to yourself, "well, there's four hours of my life i'll never get back?"
i nominate two, based not on who won or lost, or how they did it, but on how little rubbin and racin, beatin and bangin, three-wide sliding through corners took place:
1) last year's UAW-Ford 500 at talladega (the first superspeedway race in the COT). that race about fifteen drivers decided to form a second, single file pack way behind the lead single file pack, and run around like that for 400+ miles "at half-throttle" as winner jeff gordon said, before commenting on how boring the race was throughout his post-race press conference.
2) this year's all-star race: the kasey kahne story was great - from outside the race to victory lane - but the racing never got all that exciting. leaders checked out, and there no three-wide, no bumpin' no bangin'...
which race was least exciting for YOU?
