I don't know how to spell it, I'll just type it the way it sounds when read,

what am I talking about? how is it REALLY spelled, and what does it mean?

  1. I think its "Olly olly oxen free" which is from "All ye all ye outs in free". It's not Latin, it's a corruption of an English phrase which is itself probably a corruption of a mix of French and German (see the fascinating link below). It's used during a game of hide and seek by American kids to signal the end of the game.


  2. All the outs in free. It is a game expression that means all who are still playing may appear without penalty. Usually used in Hide-and-Go-Seek to say essentially, "I give up".
