  1. I lived just outside the area for a while and found it lovely. Petts Wood, Farnborough, Locks Bottom are all beautiful and friendly areas. The shopping centre in Bromley is lovely and easy access to London by train or car. There is a small private road called Park Avenue in Locks Bottom which is home to many famous personalities. The houses there are incredible.

  2. Its c**p, and full of loser wanabe cockneys.

  3. The London Borough of Bromley covers a huge area (59 square miles) of south east Greater London and, like many London boroughs, is a place of contrasts. It cannot be easily summarised as a homogeneous whole.

In the north west of the borough is the most urbanised part including Anerley, Penge and Crystal Palace. This is an area of high density development and has more in common with neighbouring Lambeth, Lewisham and Southwark. It is connected by bus to central London. This area is popular with younger people/families priced out of inner London.

The bulk of the population live in an area of sprawling suburban development to the north of the borough from west to east the area includes Beckenham - Shortlands - Bromley - Bickley - Chislehurst. Some of this is very pleasant with large houses and lots of green space. Bromley (town centre) has a large shopping centre (The Glades) and a large pedestrianised section. The main train station (Bromley South) has a fast and frequent non-stop service to Victoria station. This area is popular with working and middle class established families.

Further to the south east is the more outer-suburban Orpington-Farnborough-St Mary Cray-Chelsfield sprawl, which is less densely developed and abuts the metropolitan green belt. Principally commuters live here.

Finally, to the south the borough consists of some open countryside dotted with village-like developments of Cudham and Downe. The only significant development in this area is Biggin Hill and Biggin Hill Valley. These areas feel much more remote than the north of the borough. There is a very low population density here.

Its a predominately White borough and an outter London one it most be a very safe and nice area.

Unlike my inner London borough of Hackney

  5. Bromley was one the nicest towns in Kent and quite a lot of it remains the same now, this is mostly to the south or whats known as Bromley Common.  The north regretfully has gone down with a large proportion of immigrants.  The shopping centre is quite good and you are close to Catford, Lewisham and Croydon, which is good shopping only a bus ride away.  The are good parks, two Bromley golf courses, swimming baths a theatre, country walks, close to Keston quite a beauty spot, a good new hospital.  Several schools, two actual Bromley stations and three others close by, with good access to London and the coast.  My knowledge is living there for seventy years but no longer.  Bromley town should be avoided on a Saturday evening, like most othere towns.

  6. Heavily populated with ethnics and chavs like all the East End of London. High crime rate, drug trafficking, the lot!!

  7. best avoided like the rest of SE London/Kent

    not nice

    dangerous

    boring
