"Beans on toast", a TRULY strange dish served in Britain: it is made by marinating Great Northern beans (which come from Minnesota in the US) in tomato sauce for many weeks, then heating these up and putting them on top of a slice of toasted bread!

Brussels Icecream prepared by myself at age 9 in Novosibirsk, Russia. It was my first ever experience in cooking (almost 40 years ago). Complete failure. Done to surprise my parents, to share the joy of the meal with them. It was a failure - bizarre to taste.
