What is the Madison Dialogue (madisondialogue.org)?

Hi. I would like to know what Madison Dialogue is. All I know is that it is some kind of an organizations with initiatives on "responsibly sourced" or "clean" jewelries and mining. Is that correct?

I would like to know more on how we can join it, what's in it for us and what do we have to do once we join. Do we have to participate in meetings? Can we share our thoughts? Is it only for manufacturers/mining companies/big organizations?

The Madison Dialogue was the real result of the situation that was dramatized in the movie "Blood Diamond".

How effective it is has yet to be proven.
