Hey everyone I've been trying to crack this problem with no avail. I've read and re-read my chapter and I must not be grasping some concept. If anyone can help-I'd be quite happy! Thank you in advance

A straight wire of length 0.68 m carrying current 1.18 A is placed transversely to a magnetic field of strength 1.63 T. Determine the strength of the magnetic force on the wire.

  1. the formula for this question is Fm=iLb (Fm=magnetic force, i=current, l=legth of wire, b=field strength) Just plug it all in and solve for Fm. If you need any more help, contact me on yahoo messenger. My name is Kate.Grass@yahoo.com.
